to my advantage only 60% of all the pyro players have eyes for the medic who is healing the bad bad soldier or whatever. the other 40% just "Hold down W and Mouse Pad" and wonder why the bad bad soldier or whatever won´t die ^^and of course Lilarcor "And that's for grandma, who said I'd never amount to anything more than a butterknife!" but it always stings down there in my heart to kill the poor guys only friend for this funny sword -_- |

Hehe. My best bud is still using Mynsc as his online nickname. I love that guy. My present party: Me as an evil thief (swashbuckler - me like dual wield), Korgan, Edwin (female Edwin atm) and Viconia. Roaming the realms, splitting guts open. Good times. My current party is me (true neutral swashbuckler *high fiiive*), Minsc (because I can't play the game without him), Viconia (much love), Kivan, Jaheira and Dynaheir. Can't wait to get Celestial Fury and dual weild it with Drizzit's scimitar (which I pickpocketed from him, tyvm). BG series is a cult game. We'd gather up for a beer and share tactics on killign Kangaxx before going into Underdark, soloing the game on insane and so on. And I'm still waiting on a gaming villain that can rival Irenicus' brilliant design. |

The BG series is a saga, the story evolves with the games and expansions so normally you should start with BG1. However the game is very oldschool in terms of gameplay so I'd advise you to start with BG2 even if that spoils the first part's story (just it's outcome ofc). In BG1 you have to put a good 50h at start in exploration and minor quests (most of which are awesome, true) but it makes the game having a very bumpy start. If you start with BG2 you get right in the middle of the action and the fun starts right away which is a lot easier to get considering what new gamers are used to. If you love the second part you'll play the first one anyway. Just to give you an incentive, think about it this way. BG1+TotSC tells you who you are, BG2 tells you what you are, ToB tells you what you can become. Also, before playing you have to give the manual a look just to get familiar with the D&D rules otherwise you'll have no ideea what the hell all the stats and numbers mean. ![]() |

Next sebas will laugh at you for playing Final Fantasy, then he will come round to your house and throw FFXXXIII in your bollocks.

Are you referring to the fact that house Do'Urden defeated House DeVir in the books? I don't care about that though, Viconia is still a great character. |

jup, no a single stone was left untouched.....let alone a powerful priestessThen again she left the house of DeVir by choice and ended up fighting alongside Drizzt so I'm guessing that the war between the families is very far off in time, be it past or future. btw, Viqtory, you can try this: LUAConsole:SetGlobal("name","GLOBAL",1) Replace name with all the below: - CheckViconiaMatch - ViconiaMatch - ViconiaRomanceActive |

Quote: there's no actual numbers flowing around
BG settles around 1368 DR, its linked to the baal offspring plots in D&Dand de´vir was destroyed before drizzt was born...decades before the game so there is i little gap in there... but it is fun talking ´bout this stuff ^_^ and a even greater fun to confuse mini |

Post subject: | Re: Greetings Herrar! |
If i remember correctly Viconia's bio clashes with the story told in the books. *checking wikipedia...* Yup! "Viconia has the same surname of a Menzoberranzan house destroyed by House Do'Urden in RA Salvatore's Dark Elf Trilogy, but the story Viconia tells of her family's fate conflicts with the details of the novel. (Viconia says Matron DeVir was killed by her own son, Valas, but Matron Do'Urden sacrificed Matron DeVir in the novel Exile.) Because Viconia's BG1 bio describes her as coming from Menzoberranzan, it is possible that Viconia left before the events of the Dark Elf Trilogy novels and that House DeVir recovered from the crisis of Viconia's defection (if only temporarily). Unfortunately, this explanation leads to the conclusion that Viconia has been outcast for many decades on end. Considering she would had to have been exiled well before the birth of Drizzt Do'Urden (given the repercussions that entailed for House DeVir), and that Drizzt is already the well known hero when the events of Baldur's Gate take place. This most likely means that Viconia’s character suffers from continuity problems, and that without sufficient explanation, choosing her as a DeVir (at least a Menzoberranyr DeVir) was an error on the developers part. On the other hand, since she mentions during one of her character-related conversations, she had ceased to be a priestress of Lolth even before the protagonist has been born, so she might indeed be the oldest of the games' NPCs (though still young for an elf)." For those interested. In the books Zak killed many higher-ups in house DeVir. A grand day. I recently noticed that Edwin got the hots for Viconia! Blasphemy! But I don't think he will get anything since he's a woman right now. sebas: I already tried CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("RomanceViconia","GLOBAL",1) and when that didn't work I just started over giving myself all the equipment I had previously and saved a lot of time using ctrl+J command. If those commands you mentioned actually works I will be pretty pissed though. FYI. ![]() |

Well when you're down in the graveyards you can help Edwin find the so-called Nether Scroll. You should do it at the same time you search for the Book of Kaza since they're approximately at the same place. Once Edwin get's a hold of these he will study it (still being in your party). After a couple of days he will find something interesting giving him more xp. A few days after that he will find something that is "similar to a lich transformation", and he tests it. He will then turn into a woman. A female body, a female voice. I think the portrait still remains the same, but i downloaded a fix that gives him a female portrait. I don't know if I should spoil it, but he will eventually get turned back into a man. |
