I've got some 5 1/4 " disks with DR-DOS 5.0 on it, I can share with you, SaintK. :ugly:

You actually don't really need that patch.

So linux is the next logical step? I know at least GTK has some pretty ugly windows95-like errr... window decorations. But the games ... the games it's what keeps me from switching. Also the fact that I just know windows. If I were to switch to linux I would need to hire a mentor that shows me how to do exactly what I was doing on windows.
Funny story: installed ubuntu 8.04 to play with it and it's default image viewer wasn't playing gifs. Found no option to enable playing either. :ugly:
I just hope wine will evolve alot. Ah, my dream of everything being virtualized in a way that software/drivers wouldn't matter anymore...

Thats why i am sticking to XP for now. The game part is whats holding me up, other then that i already have a linux counter part for all programs i use.

Isn't windows 7 classic like windows vista classic? For example: a pile of crap. I haven't really used either but windows vista classic looked baaad.

Patching the uxtheme file isn't really a problem, just means you can have skins or is there a way of skinning without that patch (and without windows blinds, which the themes mainly suck for anyway and decrease usability)
