A creeper with a yield of 10 kiloton would be enough to decimate SpAradise City and a lot of its surrounding region. 50 megaton (though it theoretically could go to 100 as you say) would be enough to take out most of the map.

This is assuming that 1 Creeper == 1 ton of TNT == 1 block of TNT. A big oversimplification but with this 1000 creepers = 1 kiloton, 10,000 creepers = 10 kiloton and 50 MILLION creepers would be a "mere" 50 megaton.

The equivalent of 50 million creepers, so one ubercreeper that explodes with the force of 50 million. Don't need to spawn them all.

Would kill the server either way, but it would go out with a bang!

I imagine people going out of the city in groups of 3+, mercenaries, hitmans, and bodyguards... It would be awesome :D

Topic one: Do we need more cities on SMP?
Obviously, if you want to build one, do it, and THEN get it zoned, is my opinion on the matter.

Topic two: The purpose of cities...[Long post]...Brutal, Pking, etc.
I honestly agree with the lengthy post, on most of the points-making it into some kind of a role playing game would have a great advantage, as it would give purpose to the cities- which, as it stands, there really isn't much of a reason to go to, and when you do, you just teleport there in an instant. IMO: SMP is like a distorted version of freebuild- all the same rules apply, except there isn't the fun bounty hunter game (Known as /patrol), you can't fly to build stuff, you have to accumulate all of your blocks/materials, and a monetary system lies in place to create 'ranks'.

Topic three: Massive creeper explosions!
If we make it so that the creepers explode and destroy blocks at all, then they will take down all the builds, slowly but surely. If we make it so that they can explode, and JUST kill us, then they become a much more reliable threat, that cannot grief- however, this also allows people to attain gunpowder easily, and then grief non-zoned structures. And if, just once for fun, we could make them explode and kill EVERYTHING, I am all for it. Just someone go to freebuild and get me so I can join to watch and die.

The thing about creepers though is that they aren't that likely to blow up buildings (irreparably) if you were to say, half the terrain damage, but leave them lethal to players.
