This band should be known to all Max Payne 2 fans. Its a wonder they still have no international success. |

A long post of some stuff that I've been listening to a lot recently Refused - New Noise (One of the greatest hardcore bands ever) Botch - Japam (Noisecore played at its finest) Circle Takes The Square - In The Nervous Light Of Sunday (Chaotic screamo.. insane stuff) Fugazi - Arpeggiator (Post Hardcore band who for me are more inportant than radiohead) Slint - Nosferatu Man (The very beginings of post rock) Snapcase - Typecast Modulator (Classic positive hardcore) MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS - ã“ã®ã‚¹ãƒ”ードã®å…ˆã¸ (J-Indie Pop band) Fantomas - Rosemary's Baby LIVE (Supergroup made from members of Slayer, The Melvins, Mr Bungle and Faith No More) |

Music I like Listened to your whole post since Fantomas and Mass of the fermenting dregs were in it and liked Circle takes the square quite a bit I wouldn't have found them otherwise because I avoid screamo. |

Me and my mate used to play Command and Conquer on a LAN between a 486 and a Pentium II computer. And you know what? It was fucking fantastic. |

yeah it's these guys again D; funny how the lyrics sometimes mean so much, no matter how mad they might seem on the first listen. this definitely applies to me with this track; I've got pretty much no idea what the first part is supposed to be about, but the second part - bizzarely enough, the part about a hummingbird and a tortoise - is really hitting home. that's because, like everyone in mewithouYou, I'm a christian, and the fact that that doesn't (or at least barely does) show by how I behave is something I'm not proud of. in a way, I feel like I should apologise to you guys for that, but that's something of another story. so where do these lyrics come in? they pretty much sum up the bind I'm in and how I need to change alot of things. and yes, this is despite the completely crackpot lyrics and the analogy used; that of the peaceful but crippled tortoise mirrored against the completely mobile hummingbird that resents him. go and listen to the song and read the lyrics down the right in the youtube video and this might at least make a tiny bit of sense :p and the important bit - Quote: come tortoise, standing still
and to put that into my own words, that means letting go of my own judgement, reservations, sense of logic - whatever is holding me back - and just believe, trust and actually do more.go hummingbird, my will come tortoise, stumbling blind go hummingbird, my eyes come tortoise, empty hand go hummingbird, my plan come tortoise, undefined go hummingbird, my mind come tortoise, letting go go hummingbird, I know come tortoise, come and die go hummingbird, my I goodbye, I goodbye, I bye, bye, bye well, that's that. now you know a little more about me, and about how this band gives me the creeps about how on the money the are so much of the time. ...and because you read all that I'll reward you with some awesome Glaswegian post rock. yay! http://www.last.fm/music/Mogwai/_/Ex-Cowboy |

Nice, Mogwai! First time I heard them was live at a festival in a relatively small stage-tent. They were pretty good. |

I first saw Mogwai in a room with 5 other people, I've seen them play about 16 times now. 1999 in tokyo was my favorite gig but then Young Team, Come on Die Young and Rock Action are my favorite Mogwai releases and Ex Cowboy is one of their best recordings.First time I heard them was live at a festival in a relatively small stage-tent. They were pretty good. Mogwai are awesome. I'm sure that Tokyo gig was the birth of japanese post rock... I think Mono, sgt, lite, miaou, te and toe were all there. Still as good as CODY is its not as good as Spiderland or Rusty Louisville Post Rock for the win. |

A massive improvement to both Slipknot and Lamb of God. Jonas Brother are however an unsalvagable blight on the face of music.
