slightly offtopic: trolling hard rnt we?

on topic: there obv is no _rule_ on saturation/editing photos but my question / post about how imho tinkerbells pics are really oversaturated wasn't aiming at telling her they're bad / she's doin it wrong either.
it just looks not natural at all and detail gets lost due to glowing red etc. so i thought she might have been messing around with the saturation in photoshop a bit too much (hard to judge without a colorimeter) OR the 60d's colours are really weird / unnatural.

Sidenote: im mildly sad about how heavily edited pics get most positive comments and raw pics with just some subtle correction get no attention at all (in this thread and on flickr / every bigger photo community)~

Whatever it was, be it a tweak done in software or whatever, looks pretty cool to me. Maybe if you ask someone a question about saturturation you should end it with a question mark, otherwise it just comes off as a critical remark.

I'd also appreciate it if you didn't go running off to IRC to slag me off, princess.

Guys, please...
Don't make this thread go the same route every other thread seems to go.
Grinch had an opinion (although I agree he could have expressed it in a different way), no need to crush him for that.
Especially not here, this thread is for enjoying pictures.

So bring on the next photos please and leave this bullshit outside!

Sorry guys, I had no intention to derail or turn the thread to shit. I just did not think the comments were appropriate for something that should be considered accountable to artistic license. Comments should be constructive or complimentary imo.

Now come on Neo, i want to see more bugs :)

Ask and you shall receive! Truly stunning mate :D

As you are in france, and we have a house there and have been going to it for 17 years, ive seen some freaky bugs!
Can you get a shot of that weird half bumble bee half snail thing, and there is this translucent spider/centipede thing!

That is your mission ;) Good luck!

And thanks TinkerBell :5:

Yes its the Canon 100 mm macro F2.8 USM, and not the L with stabilizater. From some reviews I read, tought I made the good choice. L is good just for a more stab, tropicalization etc... and high price :).

Ballz : Ok, I'll check for that :p

Awesome as always Neo! :4
Damn, I wanted to buy a Tele soon, but those shots make me want a large aperture lens. Why isn't there a lens that does everything without costing thousands of dollars? :P

Is that the sun in the first picture, or did you put that picture through Paint and just make a white circle with the paint tool? O_o
That's the sun, got some weird reflections due to clouds being around and infront of it too
