At last! Yesterday my new pc arrived but I was very busy to set it up completely.
So here it is :D :

CPU: Q2D 8400
RAM: Cellshock 2GB 1066MHz (with D9GMH chips )
MB: Asus P5E
GPU: Albatron 9800GTX
PSU: PC Power & Cooling 750W Silencer Quad Cf
CPU cooling: Scythe Mugen
Case: Coolermaster Stacker STC-T01

The rest are not important :P

I've managed to try TF2 and Crysis yesterday night.
Crysis: 1280x1024 all high. I couldn't see fps but it was running nice.
TF2: 1600x1200 most settings max (I let them default but I'll max them out all next time  ) and I got over 70fps all the time. It was like playing another game

I have it in my mind
I have to download 3mark06 first... I run 05 though with the CD drivers (now i installed the ones from nvdia site) and got around ~19K points.
At 06 I think I should get ~16K

i heard the 9800GTX gets replaced by the 9900GTX in a month or so, so that can be the reason why?

Nah, I mean someone bought my 8800 for the exact price required for the 9800gtx which is a fair bit faster ( i had the 640mb gts before, which is a fair amount slower than the GT), quieter and overclocks a hell of a lot more :)

FREE UPGRADE :P
(again, lmao)

no gx2?
I bought myself 2 60mm fans to cool the NB , a 40 mm fan to cool the SB (they both run high temps when oc'ed to 3.2, as my board is designed for WC and i don't have wc, i should cool them another way) also bought a papst fan with 47 m3/h who's gonna take care of getting warm air out of my computer. The one doing that now (which is only one) ain't doing the trick really with so much warm air build up in my computer.
Next to that, I thought I'd buy myself a proper psu which would last me a while, I bought the tagan 900 W u-33, i thought grinch told me tagan rocked and all oc'ers used them :D So :4 Tagan power for me :D

Nvidia is for pussies by the way :P

GX2 fastest card on Earth right now, previous fastest card, 8800 Ultra, previous, 7950gx2, previous 6800ultra... I'm seeing a pattern emerging here :P

No GX2 for me, I didn't want to spend any money and the GTX was free :D
All I need now is an additional 500gb Samsung spinpoint to re-install Vista on, and I'm finished with my PC until Autumn, when I'll properly upgrade my GFX :)

I run a permanent 3.1ghz OC on my PC with amazingly low temperatures - You sure you have everything attached correctly?

nice hoff :D
Mute, you live in scotland m8, it's snowing there currently :P
hehehehe
probably it's the board m8. As it has cool blocks for wc'ing on it, if you oc, they get too hot without losing much heat without a fan directed at it i guess. But the coolpaste could be fucked too, or no coolpaste :D I've planned on getting the heatpipes and sinc of and applying some proper arctic silver on it, but i'll do that when i feel like it. I have nice temps now and not even more noise

I don't see FT crying that soon. But I don't know how he'll react if he destroys his computer....
FT, remember to stress test and check temps if you're oc'ing to new levels. Everest, coretemp, (cpuz and gpuz for the fun of it, but they're not absolutely necessary) and prime95.
You can always do it pim style too, but I really think ppl should stay away from this approach.

(oh yeah, i've stopped prime! (then going of to the shoarma place to come back and find out you didn't)) :D Or put your pc on prime on settings you didn't see it react earlier and leave home! Mwahahahhahaha
