Well it seems like it's a toss up between Lim-Dul and Dr.Brinkmann.

That guy GotTent? also seems to have quite the point advantage over me which is seriously annoying cause I think he's a bit of a dick...

As to me - I can't say that I have some real rivals. Yes, there are players who killed me more than I have killed them but I never feel that they're invincible or anything although I admit that they are more skilled than me in several or perhaps even most classes. Their owning me, however, is usually due to their focus on single classes they have mastered very well while I'm adapting all the time to be a valuable contribution to the team.

An example: HR_moggi killed me lots of times on ctf_turbine because I usually play a demoman there and camp the two main exits from the enemy base which makes my position pretty predictable. Also, I have to watch my stickies all the time to make sure no enemy slips by. Hence moggi managed to get lots of backstabs on me BUT at the same time I have a great K:D ratio on this map when it comes to other players so I was still doing very well - moggi just countered my tactics quite effectively as a spy which is what TF2 is all about, isn't it? =)

When I played as a Pyro in another situation moggi didn't get that many kills as a spy on me, obviously...

He's always complaining about something and it kinda pisses me off.

I have no over elaborate reason for saying this it just harshens my buzz is all.

But gottent is not...? He just is a good player and gets ennoyed when the team just runs around like many of us.

actually for some weird reason I only have 6 people under the 1 + rate, and three of them aren't regulars

well I can say for one thing and that is ... I FUCKING HATE YOUR PYRO Amyl... seriously... you're always grilling my medic ass, but then I'll just change to soldier and sends a rocket in your face which gives me immense pleasure for some reason

As observed before this kind of data from HLStatsX is pretty useless because it has a cut-off date. Magisk (which pretty much owns me each time on the server) had a K:D of like 1.4 for me or something like that and now he's below 1...

Anyways, Hatch is my nemisis now, someohow I keep thinking i can jump over his stickies and then he's watching secretly in a corner grr!!!

Ah... I know that... I always think as a mighty, everything-burning pyro "I can jump over these stickies!" :mrgreen:

... but most of the time it doesn't work. :cry:

I still think HLStats is useless to find your main nemesis. Some classes are also better at beating others... so if you play scout, you will have a bit of trouble vs heavy's and soldiers. While having an easier time against the demoman.

Personally I feel that the nemesis I have is my own team, well some of the time! Yesterday I was blasting my way as scout to top score (had 18/1 k/d ratio, before I got balanced), eventually I got autobalanced to the loosing team and nothing worked anymore.... Its not like I was playing worse or anything, it was just that the team didn't get their act together untill later in the game.

So there you have it, everyone's main nemesis is their own team. If the team doesn't get their act together, you will horribly loose since its pretty hard to win the match on your own. Especially when its a 13 vs 13 game.

I really am my own nemesis. Especially as a Pyro. I just can't stop myself rushing in to certain death. Even when I say to myself "Right. Rush in, torch them then get back out and go in for another pass if necessary"

But I don't. I rush, then stay running around like a madman trying to completely kill everybody until a Soldier or Demoman pops me like a balloon.

It's really frustrating cause as a Medic or Spy I always retreat if the odds are against me but not as the Pyro. I just hang around like a psycho and get my ass killed.

It's no wonder I've died so many more times than I've killed... :(

You missed the point, I was talking about a certain synergy between members of the team. Sometimes this comes natural, other times this comes when someone gets on the voicecom and starts giving out some basic commands.. other times it just doesn't seem to click. A group of skilled persons can easily loose to a team of new players.

on a sidenote to this I wish the medics kill assists would count as half a kill or something. Since I play medic A LOT (because no one else wants to. I'm almost getting sick of playing medic) my kill to death ratio is all balls. :4

Poor medics, always getting the worst deal.

TEAM fortress, not I fortress.

Thats why stats like k/d ratio are bullshit. A guy who gets 200/1 kills might make a lot of kills but he might also make them at less critical times. While a guy with 200/200 ratio might make more of a difference to the matcht than the guy who gets 200/1.

For example, a spy that consistently kills medics or heavies, is a lot more usefull than a soldier who kills scouts and pyro's. Even though he is more likely to die since he is dangerously close to the enemy.

yes I know, and that's why i AM a medic a lot of the time, because I'm all about teamplay.
In game and everything I never once care about points, but since stats are up there and even displayed beneath the avatars it sort of grinds my gears. since it's so in your face.

our team had like 4 medics ready to übercharge at the start, but suddenly someone came up with the "2hardcore4medic" so we all changed to some other class and still won the match if I'm not wrong (was too hardcore for spies too)

You can turn of the stats in your profile. Even though people could still go and search for your name in HLstats, but at least it won't show on the forum.

I turned mine off, simply because I feel there isn't much of a point in it.

would be cool though if it showed "favorite victim e.g most killed person by you" and\or "the guy that owns you the most"

9mmNL and Xtinct are my main foes atm, everywhere I went there they were. No matter if I was invisible, bursting shit into flames, rocketjumping or sniping.
Hell, I´ve could 'ave taken a detour to the fooking MOOOOON and they´d be waiting in a crater :(
