Yeah, log values you have to look up in charts or use the calculator (apart from the obvious ones of course), but not for this equation. :wink:

Yeah, log values you have to look up in charts or use the calculator (apart from the obvious ones of course), but not for this equation. :wink:

Logs that you could do in your head was c1, because it is the non calculator paper.

Then in c3 and c4 you transfer to ln and e for some reason. I haven't used logs in ages but ln is practically the same.

Not really. If y = 0 it can be placed anywhere in that equation. e.g 1+2 = x (+ 0) or 0 + 1 + 2 = x.
Because it's zero, it's left out.

nah man they are amazing , they totally open up the world of mathematics


I have also got into a conversation with my nextdoor neighbour and his company recently came up with a new form of mathematics involving no numbers and have applied it to renewable energy with surprising success
