I have to admit, the matchfinding is a lot better than I expected. Problems of host leaving are resolved pretty good (even though it's annoying if you're standing on a grenade while about to deploy a predator while the enemy team is doing the cheerleader pyramid and then time suddenly stops). HOWEVER, this is also as much fun as I found L4D fun for the first week. I'll see how fast I'll get bored with it. Still, it's a bit annoying that you're never on a specific "territory" - as in, a community server or anything like that. Plus people come and leave fast. I can't even manage to start hating someone because they leave and I'll probably never see them again. |

You have to be real carefull about how you spend your ammo because every clip costs 10 pounds! (let the knifing begin) |

Quote: And THAT is why IW decided to remove dedicated servers!
Wow...Whoever thinks that the people who created this dedi server hack thingy made this server to screw around with low gravity and unlimited grenade ammo has no clue. Obviously they made this very first dedi server this way to be able to prove that this really is a dedi server in mw2 (otherwise anyone could just record a regular game of mw2 and say "oh yes it's made on a dedicated server and I hacked the game") The developers of this will surely make some servers with regular gameplay too - just with the benefits of dedicated servers (being able to kick violators, less lag etc). Although this will surely get banned somehow sooner or later and although I still think that if you have to mod a game to make it competitive, it's not competitive, I like how the community manages to give IW and Activision the run around not even a week after the game was released. |

probably gonna sell my xbox version (with online that didn't work and even then was full of 10 year olds and campers and was generally awful and I suck with a pad anyway and and and :<) then get the PC one instead which, I'm hoping, will at least have a vague sense of community as I can play it with some of you guys. and I won't be terrible at it. and I can play campaign again. but my only question, basically, is that is the lag a real problem? how does your ping usually compare to that on, say, the spa tf2 servers? |

I haven't really noticed lag problems that weren't on my end, usually it would switch server anyway~ (Though switching server when both teams are at 7400 points in team deathmatch.. is EPIC FAIL :/) |

When we're playing Spikespiegel is usually host, so pings rarely are higher than 80-100. |

Aduket has very crappy pings sometimes - over 9000 which is about 140-180, but he's doing just fine. |

I haven't had any lag issues except 2 or 3 times when we get a crap host then everybody has lag, that's when Spike asks them politely to leave ![]() |

this game is awesome. I mean, I'm shit at it and all, but that it's even better on PC than on xbox really says something for it. got into a hardcore team deathmatch with aduket and spike, which was... interesting :p best fun so far has to be on favela/the tiny one with the sandstorm and the big oil thingy in the middle as a marathon/lightweight/commando class with a teeny SMG as my weapon, just running all over the place. I don't understand why people camp when that's so much fun ![]() |

Rust is never played in TDM od Search and destroy, which is good thing, cause map is very shitty, and people spawn in front of enemies all the time. Its MW2 version of Shipment from cod4.

On normal game modes yes, on hardcore its rather pointless, since you dont have constant map of an area to reveal your position, and you dont need to use bling pro to use both silencer and red dot/holographic/acog sight. Since we're not playing normal gamemodes I dont recommend it, only for prestige challenge ![]() |
