Wikipedia is fine unless you are retarded and believe everything on there without question, it does have a reference feature where you can check the sources of the information.

generally speaking, i tend to shy away from the internet when i want actual factual information, unless i can find a really nice website. But ona topic such as the one were discussing, i have a feeling the internet might bring up a few things that arent true :| I didnt mean to attack/ignore you.
Because the internet pages are written by ordinary humans? In contrast to the gods who handed down the word and put them in a book? :P
Wikipedia everything.

I think it has something to do with everyone being anonymous on the interwebz, and... well, you could do stupid things to troll people like using fake information. OTOH, people writing books actually have to pay for them being print and all the shit, so they might take it a bit more seriously....

Exactly. I mean, like everyone else i search things on the internet like mad, but not historical happenings that i want to know the absolute truth about. I mean, ok i will but i wont take it as seriously as if i were to read it in a history book or something like that.

There's no such thing as absolute truth when it comes to history.

Each and everything that is written is written by someone with opinions and goals, omitting/reinterpreting information to his or her idea or world view.

He who manages to understand what FillerB posted controls his brain.
