Yeah, better be supporting stability. Qhadaffi is a sane, stable character. Let's all support him.
The last 40 years it seems, that for all the governments he was not insane enough but stable enough to make good buisness with him.
But hey, he was not an easy buisness partner, so just support some rebells and then install a Puppet government, like in Irak and Afghanistan, to make buisness much easier and cheaper to get the ressources.
Humanity, no one cares for humanity and would have started to help. Otherwise there would be lots of places already be invadet, like saudi Arabia, Bahrein, Kongo, Myanmar.

I doubt anyone would invade Saudi Arabia, they invest too much money in everyone else anyway :|

I'm just scared of China taking over.

Yeah, and slavery was fine for a couple of hundred years or so too. We shouldn't have supported those damn slaves in the first place. To not support the revolutions/revolutionists cause is just plain stupid, the dictators is as much a reason for terrorism as any Bush administration in the world (by making people live in fear/poverty and without a possibility to even try to control their own faiths you kinda design the climate that al-qaeda is recruiting from) and much as said administration need to be eradicated from within.

edit: i might as well add something constructive to this conversation.

in that airstrike that killed gaddafi's son... well it's amazing that gaddafi himsself wasn't killed. it flattened the entire place.
and i don't think that isreal has destroyed *every* chance of good government in the middle east. egypt seems to be getting on ok after it's revolution - still in the transition stage but it, apparantly, hasn't collapsed into anarchy yet.

Except for the sectarian violence resulting deaths we saw over the weekend. While multi-faith communities are still run by dogma and laws a written by a single faiths doctrine nothing will change in the middle east.

My one reaction to this entire thing.

"peace fighters"
"the new arab world"

romanticized & skewed to match their own agenda.
