There are two people on the forums who should know the game because I wrote a lengthy review on a certain site a couple of years ago. |

gibboss is right. The not-very-good sequel to the best strategy game (not real time tactical game like most so-called RTS-es are) EVER. Period. :-D |

Crystal Caves - in the beginning I thought it was Secret Agent which was based on the same engine. I played this game - and many others - during my frequent visits to DESY where my father was working at the time (when I was living in Germany). :-D Another easy title - no need to cock-block the thread again. ^^ ![]() |

I know this game, but I'm not gonna get the posting rights! I never played it, but the buildings really give it away. specially the pipes tieing them toguether. it came out to be the next dune II but never really did, or did it? |

Not really much in common with Dune since this one is turn-based. (*hint*) One of the best hot-seat games I ever played (*hint*) especially since this mode is getting rarer. :-\ |

Pff - you misunderstand. I play the mainstream stuff PLUS all the obscure stuff - hence my gaming knowledge is so vast. *brag brag* Ah - and the game I posted is very much a mainstream title. |

You could try the freeware game Battle for Wesnoth then - very similar to Advance Wars but played on a board with hexagonal fields. And it's set in a fantasy setting. The nice thing about *Mysterygame* was that the turn-based aspect was very smart - e.g. you could automate many tasks e.g. scouting with units AND if you left enough movement/action points for your units they could return fire out-of-turn. Very nice, very nice... Played it to no end with my friends in Germany. ^^ |

Yeah, you're right. =) Seriously - play this game. There are even TWO fan remakes being developed which use the original game's assets. |
