Not really. :-P
I gave you a HUGE hint - I said that I'm posting the most lazy follow-up ever. Think about it... ^^

Centurion: Defender of Rome. If I'm right I played this game a lot at school whenever the opportunity arose (e.g. the teacher was looking the other way ;-).

Is it not called Battlezone?

Author:  Lim-Dul [ 16 Dec 2008, 16:44 ]
Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The game edition

Yeah, McMoist is right! It's Battlezone! It had lotsa clones in later years... It was one of the first games I ever played in my life - I found it running on an arcade cabinet when I was a couple of years old. ^^

Been four days, taking the liberty of uploading a new image. Probably a bit too easy.

Ignore this one if he gets here anytime soon then.

So as not to let the thread stall, I'll post an easy one to kick-start the game again. ^^

Crap I dont know. The guy on the left reminds me of the one from Kingdom Hearts, but I guess thats wrong? ;D

Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The game edition

Yeah, that's wrong. ^^

I can say that the two characters visible on the screenshot are a bit deceptive when it comes to guessing the game title if you're totally clueless (neither is the main character, although they're both playable) BUT make it easier to guess the title correctly if you know what to look for. I know, I'm speaking in riddles. :-D

Absolutely not an RPG, that much I can reveal. ^^

Hm, is it a game from the Megaman series?
The red one looks like a character I recognize.

After some research...is it Megaman ZX for DS?

Author:  Lim-Dul [ 22 Dec 2008, 20:10 ]
Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The game edition

Your research is flawed. It's not. ^^

C'mon guys - this was supposed to be an easy one considering the obscure titles I usually post. :-P

Oh come on, don't tell me that red guy aint Zero from Megaman.

I'm only telling you that the game in question is not Megaman ZX. ^^

Argh...I just can't find out the right one...I'm truly irritated by the graphics.
I mean, they look different from the usual Megaman games.
Would have fitted the DS system from the style.
But I just can't get it.
And there are way TO MANY Megaman games to look up.

Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The game edition

Ha, ha - I'm guilty as charged of posting one of the most obscure Mega Man titles ever (I don't think hiding the name of the series makes sense anymore). Truth be told I wasn't aware of its existence until recently myself... ;-)

P.S. Megahint: remember that Mega Man is a Capcom franchise, not one owned by Nintendo. ^^

Megaman X?

Author:  Lim-Dul [ 22 Dec 2008, 20:35 ]
Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The game edition

Close one, but no cigar.

I don't think the screenshot above anything like this one:

Image

Aaaah! Wait, I see what you did there - you thought this was the 3D port of Mega Man X to the PSP!

The Mega Man X series on the SNES were TEH SHITZ0RD! Forget some nostalgic 8-bit crap (I'm speaking to you, Mega Man 9!) - Mega Man X is the series that needs to be continued in non-3D, not the original NES titles. :-D
Well, OK, Mega Man Zero titles are kinda an extension of this idea but Zero plays very differently to Mega Man X.
