Exactly, and bye bye Italy and France :18 so much for the group of death...no problem for Romania.

Also, because how the draw comes out, the 2 progressing from "the group of death" may meet each other again in the semi-finals. Im not saying Holland will throw the match but I think they would rather play Romania in the semi-finals than the reigning world-champions or france.

NL will play for 100% victory, but maybe with a few substitutes..

and for a "group of death", the Netherlands is the only team at the moment who put a team to death xD

well, the Dutch got their revenge from the matches in the qualifiers (draw and lose against Romania)
and now winning with 8 or so substitutes is quite nice :18

italy were lucky to win... they had a pen and had a shot deflected by the wall. how lucky was that?! france should beat them or get a draw at least if they play with 11v11

too bad for romania, but you are right bose your team is just overal weak, but still they had a chance after a tie against the world champion and the runner-up.. and your only loss will be against the champions. so you actually preformed pretty well this tourney.

but a small fact.. only 6 teams before holland got 9 points in the group stage of the EC, and only 1 was the actual champion. so the stats are in holland's favor. /cry

i thought holland gonna beat russia but i was wrong... robben should have start instead of kuyt and engelaar shouldnt play!!! give huntelaar a chance to score again... russia should play with 10man at extra time but whatever gogogo spain :mrgreen:

Ah well,

Russia was the better team this night.
The Netherlands just did not play the way they did in the poules. Bit sad for van der Sar as it is his last Tournament(International).
