Megaman X for SNES was awesome, I loved it!! <3
I already knew what you metnioned in your hint, but that incited me to look up Megaman games for PSP.
So my last guess on this one: Megaman Maverick Hunter??!!

Nope - but c'mon, don't give up, you're so close. There aren't really THAT many Mega Man games sporting two additional playable characters and then ones that were made in 3D. :-P

No and no and with so many misses I wonder how you haven't hit the right game already. :-D

Look for the game titles you're posting on Google Image Search - you'll see that they look nothing like the one I put up for guessing. ^^

I'll post another hint: this game and several preceding titles were ALSO published on a very, hmm, untypical platform for the Mega Man series.
