I haven't actually followed this thread, so I have no idea what was already posted or not.
Since I didn't want to make it too easy, here is a weird little freeware indie game. But since it got pretty popular (even a mobile version was made) I guess it might still be too easy.

Icy Tower.
One of the few games we were able to ran on our crappy "Realschul"-computer some years ago.

Relentless is just two years older than you and Space Quest was released before he was born. It's not a matter of age - it's a matter of being cool and playing old classics. ^^
Oh yes, I actually played this at September/October 2007 in school :D Our teacher said we have to play it as a matter of teamwork (telling each other what to do and stuff). I guess he just wanted to pwn us (since the english skills of the average Austrian kid suck ass I guess  ) but I was pretty much the only one that liked that game :D I finished it without a walkthrough from the internet and only got a tip from the others now and then btw ;P

Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

The earlier Rainbow Sixes were so good compared to the stupified versions that get released now!

Waaait a minute - I swear I know this one but not from actually playing it - despite its looks it isn't actually an old game, correct?

You're right, the game is actually from 1997.
As a hint, the year is also in the name of the game.

Layton-kyōju to Saigo no Jikan Ryokō

or as you might call it:
Professor Layton: The Final Time Journey

really? I didn't know that people still play this game! It's really great, and I'd love something like it, just with graphics that don't hurt your eyes. Know anything like that?

As I said, I didn't pay attention to this thread until recently, so I have no idea what you are talking about.
