Right, now... I know I sound thick and stupid, but it's not my fault. ChilleR made me do it.

So, anyway...

The Hard Drive is obviously seperate to your DVD/CD-Drive, and is located below it... yes?

Now, the Hard Drive I currently have is a few years old, as is the rest of the computer. When I do certain things, the Hard Drive will make a noise, as if it's struggling. I've been told older Hard Drive's do this. Is this correct?

If so, i've been recommended to buy a new Hard Drive. A Sata one, for example. Now, I don't need 'loads' of space, so a 100gb should do me fine.

How is this one?

Also, how do I install it?

old hard disks make noices yea.

If you wanna upgrade to SATA, first ask yourself this question;

"do i have SATA support on my mobo?"

Well, it'll be when I upgrade, so i'll have to get a new motherboard, and obviously i'll be checking then. :).

Well in that case, its just plug 'n play... Like i said yesterday, its just like Lego, it can fit only 1 way (without using force ofcource)

Ok, thanks mate.

I've found a nice neon style case, which looks fucking lush!

It's an enthusiast's case, and it's only £60. Does everything fit in like normal?

Also, the case we have is big, luggy metal. With the only plastic being the front. I checked the aliminium cases, and they cost a bomb!

All very well but I wouldn't go with Sata if it's for data... I don't have em for good reason. I had em once, they died alot... I know if you get a good 1 they work fine and no probs, but if you get 1 that's going to be an arse it'll remain an arse no matter how many times you F+R!!!

Too unreliable still I say, but with the lack of IDE slots on motherboards these days, then your better getting it...
