This guy cracks me up. He totally rips into the The Phantom Menace. Very dry and very cutting. There are 7 parts and this is part 3 so far this was the funniest one for me.

it would have been so much simpler if they just used perspective and a body double... or if he did what a bale did and just toned up and down for the different parts. Instead you got one of the worst bit of post production work I have ever seen in a major release.

No, it just adds to the overall weight of shit. :wink: Even at kapow this weekend and the more stuff i saw about the new xmen film just put me off more and more.


I saw suckerpunch on Saturday, and it was really sad that, if Synder got someone else to write that film, it would have been quite brilliant.

I'm quite curious about Joe Cornish's new film.

Proof positive that the oscars is bullshit Kokuhaku (Confessions) was the best foreign language film of last year and only made the short list along with Life Above All, Uncle Boonmee didn't even get that far. The arguably fourth best film nominated won.



I have to say as a huge fan of Tetsuya Nakashima's previous films it was a bit jarring watching this film for the first time, stylistically its a massive shift. Its slow but considering the subject matter that just grounds it and stops it becoming Audition.

This year, Source Code: I'm a fan of Moon. Atlas Shrugged (Part 1): How you make Ayn Rand's novel into a film I don't know. The Tree of Life: Its Terrence Malick. Jane Eyre: I've never once seen a good adaptation of Jane Eyre maybe this time.

I'm looking forward to Looper but that's coming out next year, and Ridley Scott is back to sci-fi with Prometheus which apparently has Idris Alba and Noomi Rapace in it.
