Downloading this right now. This might be something that'll keep me interested until BF3 hits.
It seems something very casual and it probably won't keep me entertained for long, but by all means, sign up and come play a few matches with me .

Okay, I just noticed it uses the same mechanics as BF Heroes as far as equipment goes. You can play and buy new equipment temporarily for points you earn by just playing.
You can also permanently unlock equipment or just unlock it for a longer period, but you can only do so by buying special points using real money.
There's also all kinds of cosmetic stuff that isn't available if you don't pay.
I'm gonna play my first match now and will keep you posted as soon as it's over.

UPDATE: Ok, I played two half games, one with a medic, another with assault and I'm not exactly liking it.
The control seems very clunky and there's so many wide open areas that close combat weapons are rendered useless.
I did play on two maps that I remember seeing in BF2, so that's nice to see.
I'm going to give this game another chance but it's really underwhelmed me. If only my BF2 still worked. . .
