I realize that this could have been done before, but rather then zombie a topic i decided to make a new one.

I read tons and i would like to find some new one's to read.
I've read(reading):
rosario+vampire 1 and 2
cage of eden
breaker and breaker:new waves
air gear
suicide island

So what mangas do you read?

I've read stuff that everyone piles into these lists (Bleach, F.M.A, Naruto) I honestly don't get any of them... plots are all the same, most are fan service mags dragging out wafer thin plots to satisfy readership figures. I feel the same about the Anime made now too.

Some of its that fucking awful: action, violence trash the make to sell to 12 year old boys and westerners (don't even get me started on critter/card capture shit). Some of it however is truly amazing.

Some of that isn't good either but its what I have here. Excepting I missed out Ghost in the Shell and Akira because everyone always says they've seen the movies and I don't want to ban people today.

i haven't read any. tho i do watch the occasional anime, but only if it's on the 'batshit insane' scale of 'weird Japanese stuff' - such as this!

Dokuro chan is great, I got bored and found most of the episodes on youtube one day.
I've also watched death note but lets not derail this thread ^^
I've not really read to many mangas, my friend spoils them for me before I pick them up. :D

Had no idea Akira was a manga, the plotline seemed just so unconventional, and unguided, would never have guessed, fantastic film though.

Shame really, the mangas, and animes that's liked by the majority, ridicules the entire art form in my opinion, it had such potential, all to be pished on total excrement.

At best that entire sentences accuracy is subject to taste, at worst its an outright lie. :mrgreen:

Plus this is one movie just one; it also has better source material than Harry Potter at least.

It's kinda sad to say, but I recently started to read the Naruto manga, cause I was sick of waiting for the anime to catch up.

It's also kinda Baal's fault too. I just didn't realise the manga would seem so condensed compared to what the anime was offering. Turns out it makes you want to see the anime even more cause you wanna see it in motion. Sasuke Vs. Danzo anyone?

actualy LotR is 6 books; each of the 'usual' three books is actually made up of two smaller books. technically. not that anyone really gives a shit :ugly:

And technically its really just one novel and it was a publishers decision to make it a trilogy in 6 parts.
