Post subject: | New Spawn Proposal | ||
Royal Destineer and I propose a new spawn for the newly opened SMP map. It has the same overall feel as Spawnville, but it incorporates new elements into the design. There's room for market stalls, an Inn with a small amount of rooms, a library to contain all of the rules, and another small store/market shop. Overall, it contains all the things of Iron City, but keeps the rustic feel of the old Spawnville. Comments and concerns are appreciated, and the build can be found on Frimple's map, "Frimple". EDIT: The build still has plenty of room for improvement, and is still not 100% completed. This post was just kinda testing the water.

Couple of things to note about this. 1) I would really advise against using any texture packs when building. Most people don't use them and new guys certainly wont. You want your build to look the same for them. 2) If you want to try your build in the Test SMP, PM me and I can give you admin there so you can summon needed materials and so on. |

My new presentation for a possible Spawn City is up. I ahve replaced the old Iron City on the New SMP map. Login as usual (smp.specialattack.net:25555) to have a look around. Hoping this is more to everyone's taste. It combines a more rustic style with the grandeur and ease of navigation that I want. Let me know what you think. I'll try and get some pics up later today but...well...its a bit large... ![]() |

For all my continual moaning, I quite liked Iron City, so you've got a lot to live up to if you want to meet the standard set by Howard... Howard. I don't know whenever I write anything it turns out sounding negative, I'm just a naturally gloomy person, or maybe I shouldn't post in the mornings. |

As size was a concern, I expanded the outer walls. Now, there's plenty of room, so much in fact that I'm not quite sure as to what to do with it. For the red outlines, I was thinking small industrial buildings, such as a cobblestone generator, farms, and possibly a pig spawner. The grassy area in the front of the Keep is still open, and I need ideas for that as well. It still has the same features as the last proposal (the market and Inn) but it has room for plenty of more builds. Thoughts?

It looks roomier now ![]() But are there enough market stalls? There needs to be one for every item that can be bought and sold I think.... What is in the large main building? Would a pig spawner work where mobs cant spawn? |
