Same, had to change my password just in case.  So I guess that part about chat vs console could be a bit clearer, maybe a red sign saying "game chat box is NOT console!" |

But but... I had just started tf2. You're right though, it's probably a non-issue. as far as i can rember ...i did the same.  Anyway, lots of people will just start and play, then they think maybe console means chatbox.. and then the mistake happens. At least once the mistake happened they know about the difference of console and chatbox.

I thought about if writing a password in chat would be a good idea, decided it isnt and thus used the console. Hoped the console wouldnt work like the chat if I type something wrong though.

i agree it said console, but when your console doesnt open up. You just go to the chat. Maybe explain the directions a little more
