I think most people are watching this. I'm curious who's going to claim the act.

No doubt some tard like Murdoch (or his pie-fan) will try to steal the headlines away from the real news in the world. *sigh*

Why the hell would anyone bomb Norway, anyway? Everybody loves Norway! It's not exactly the US...

But damn, that shit sounds harsh... Blood-covered bodies all over the street and whatnot.

Question is, why? People don't bomb a capital city of a major European country out of boredom. It's either to send a message or to kill someone in particular.

Or that's what I'm thinking, at least.

The news says it's a Norwegian guy, right wing extremist who did the shooting.

Thanks for letting us know, because we were all eagerly awaiting your take on the situation

It could be a coincidence, the shooting, and the bombing, very unlikely though, organisation and shootings aren't things I link too quickly to islamic terrorists. Though if it was, it's deffinetly a message that they'll hit anywhere. Some newspaper were claiming it was some muslim extreme group, would be interested to learn who was behind all this. I wish people and the media would learn how to deal with terrorism, instead insighting fear into everyone, and saying things like "the whole of Norway is in fear, and nowhere is safe" etc. the desired effect of terrorism, islamic or not.

I mean they're rebuilding towers on wtc site, that's the right atittude, thats the middle finger. Cliche now since the poster went into the public domain, but ever so relevant for today, Keep Calm and Carry On.

It is horrific... or beyond horrific and only those as depraved as the murderers would think this unimportant or of little consequence.

Those children.... all those children... senseless and pointless murder.

I pray one day, we as beings evolve to be more, but as seen in this thread, there are many who only *look* like they have more brains than a slime mold does. Oh wait on second thought not sure they even *look* better than a slime mold....

I'm kind of chocked over how big the explosions are, a few years before when I stilled live at my parents home there were a car explosion right in front of our apartment but a smaller one ofcourse. I can't imagine how big this one were after all the windows been blown out as the media shows us in those pictures :?

And poor all those children whose life been taken away by that psycho, and those who had witness all that horror on Utøya...

wtf, just checked the news, 91deaths?!

And it looks like it's been a Christian extremist. Religion strikes ones again....

And very quickly, every single one of (at least the Belgian) news sources has to add that he plays violent video games.
They might as well say he likes movies, or likes sports. Out of the hundreds of millions of people that play games, this one extremist psychopath goes on a killing spree.
The same ratio could be applied to any other popular hobby.

Anyway, it's always extremism and religion that are the direct causes. Let's hope that in the next few generations at least the religions will start to die out.

I am betting if there was a proper study done on all serial killers, psychos, mad bombers and terrorists, they would discover they all enjoy eating corn, sunshine, and breathing air. Thus, the majority of us could fall into the category of potential serial killers, psychos, mad bombers and terrorists. Statisticians are much like fishermen, both tend to exaggerate.

In this day and age, I would be ashamed to call myself a Christian. Far better to become a pastafarian and join the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Here I will point out that a man in Australia Austria has won in court the right to wear a pasta strainer on his head in the drivers license photo as religious headgear, as he is a pastafarian; a tradition which is likely is banned in France.

Seriously though, such a needless event, and there will be no understanding the why of it all, and this is the question everybody will be searching for to try and make some sense of it all, where there just isn't any sense to be found here.

We haven't had one of those for a while 8)

But wasn't steering on it. Just an observation.

I'll never understand such violence, religious or not.

That was Austria, but still funny :)

When my license is up for renewal next year I too shall be donning the most holy (hole-y) of headgear for the News International overloards of Britain. The wife already hides her head in shame when I write down my religion on medical/census/council forms! :p

But back on-topic, radicalisation always leads to this, no matter what the route cause of the radicals motvation :(

In most cases it isnt religion that is the cause of hate, it is those who USE religion and scapegoat those who arent of the same religion/political party/race/creed/gender/sex, etc

Those folks need someone/thing to blame for their own inadequacies, or the inadequacies of the sheeple they seek as followers. Once they have one or more targets they blame them for anything and everything that goes wrong in the world thus setting their sheeple (who are wanna be wolves) on the poor unsuspecting targets.

BTW did yall know that sheep will surround a target and kill it by sheer numbers? Sounds kinda familiar with some sheeple as well....(ie Sheeple: people who blindly follow a chosen leader like lemmings off a cliff).

My sentiments exactly, even I thought it was weird that the targets were obviously politically motivated and not simply mass shock and awe targets.
