I'm planning on splitting up badlands and dustbowl as requested by Banana; so maybe fastlane can go between them.

Actually, as i'm planning on working on this, this weekend. If you have any map rotation feedback please note it here. Keep your comments succinct though :D

Muchas love! It's such a pain in the ass if you cannot stop Saint to buy even more failbowl. :ugly:

You'd be surprised how many people actually like it. :)

On average, it is around that point in the map cycle that saint joins a server and buys dustbowl, so dustbowl happens twice in close proximity, so im gonna move it to a later part of the cycle ^^

Post subject:  Re: Mapcycle

I've got a suggestion regarding maps and mapcycle, what about a server with some other maps, new, unofficial, koth.. und so weiter.

Since I only play on the great SPA servers I don't know what maps are out there.. I'm also guessing this has been tried before with not so much luck but maybe with the new f2p players it can succeed.
I am anyway kinda bored with the maps in the cycle and would like to try some other ones and still be playing on SPA-regulated server.

What ya all think?

I, too, am kinda bored, but the solution I'd offer would be slightly different: more maps into the buy menu. I'd totally reap havoc among our F2P peers by buying some strange wicked maps from time to time. In fact, these maps could even have a different game mode, like dodgeball or whatever.

Yeah that's a good idea. I had totally forgotten that one can buy maps.. Gonna start doing that, let fun begin!

Post subject:  Re: Mapcycle

!spapoints should have ALL official maps in it, be it koth or ctf etc :D if we have missed any give us a shout

we removed the random custom maps from the spapoints menu as some of them were not the current versions, and would often clear the server due to the download times or file inconsistencies; however if you know any popular custom ones, let us know and we will check it out

A new map cycle is being made, but I've been really busy at work recently (alpha and beta at the same time for two projects, wtf!)

As always, all feedback is appreciated 8)

Post subject:  Re: Mapcycle

Can we please remove the maps that do nothing but empty the no-crits server from the no-crits menu? 2fort would be top candidate. It's hard enough to get people on the no-crits, there's no reason for ruining this by allowing people to buy a retarded map that nobody has ever managed to have fun on.

Don't get me wrong, it's fun to play it once in a while..you know, like when the planets in our solar system are completely aligned but I've seen it every time I've been on the no-crits the past week and each and every time it does the same thing: kills the server.

Yes I thought that last night too, was a real shame to see it empty from 2 bad map choices (points finger at zenergy and tomosa ^^); ill check too see the possibilities of having separate spa points map menus.

In Tomosas defence, he didn't really pick maps that emptied the servers...they were just reaaaallly shit maps.

Someone bought it last week and it was just no real fun.

There is simply no way to make 2fort fun. Unless we're on Valium and we're doing it melee style. While getting bjs.

2fort is not suitable for tf2, its a tfc map.

"Snakewater is a new Control-Point map for Team Fortress 2. It was made by chojje. After a lot of beta's and RC's it is now finalized."

eXtelevision posted a video about this new map, Snakewater. I haven't tried it but i looks nice. Maybe something that could be implemented in the buy menu?

Looks nice though it might be a bit too open for pub games. Don't get me wrong, I love these kind of maps but pyros, heavies, engies will have a hard time on it.
