Well I went to origin, and saw that I could download the beta, so I downloaded the beta, and since then, I've been having some problems getting onto anything.

I'll have to write this all out, but this is a message that I get when attempting to join a server:

DirectX device creation error

Failed creating D3D device of at least version 10.0 on adapter "ATI Radeon 3000 Graphis" with driver "Unknown". Erorr is DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED ("Unsupported").

This is typically caused by not having the minimum required DirectX support in the GPU.
For Nvidia GPUs, DirextX 10.0 support is required.
For AMD and GPUs from other vendors, DirextX 10.1 support is required.
Not sure really what to do with all of this, but hopefully someone will be able to help me out :mrgreen:

I wish I was more tech savvy :cry:

And I thought I couldn't even play beta, and it only came with purchases, but it told me I could play it, so please let me know if I was just tricked by origin or something like that :ugly:

Well I haven't bought the game and I can play the beta, so that isn't the problem.

I would try downloading new drivers for graphic card - from the message it seems it didn't recognize the one you have now.

Hmm, thanks :D

Where would I download new drivers for my graphics card? I bought one on my last computer, but I don't have it installed now. It might be a good idea to see about putting it into this computer :P but I'd have to look into that more.

There is somewhere on batllelog some links to the latest/beta drivers who works with BF3. Ceck them out

You need the Catalyst 11.10 to get BF3 to work. AMD, however, have taken this driver down at the moment so I can't give you a link for it... :roll:

Yeah i just downloaded it now it says "AMD High Definition Audio Device Not plugged in"....
Any help? :(

I'm not sure what is going on now, I downloaded everything you sent spike, but still get the same message. I went to directx and made sure I had the latest version there as well. Still nothing, sad cat is sad.

Nevermind, I just uninstalled it... I think i know what went wrong so i might install it later on. :-P

any clue why joining a server isn't going? it keeps loading with 'joining server' I had it waiting for several hours but it just doesn't go in.. not only 1 server but I tried more. help please :P

Try more servers. Eventualy restart browser. Log out then log in back.

Just a warning guys apparently EA are banning any origin accounts that are found on hacked 100player server and stuff like that, so be careful what server your going on!
