Sure Steve Jobs was a good public speaker, but in saying that, so was Hitler (before someone kicks off about that statement, they should go learn their fucking history and I'm not condoning Nazism at all and saying jobs is Hitler) but that kid actually said something, Steve Jobs might have changed the way we use information and technology, but did he change the world? arguably yes, but more honestly no, he got people to buy tablet technology that already existed and get excited about HDMI cables - better access to information is good, but it is equally changing the way people remember things, as in, they don't - good or bad? that is yet to be seen

I'm not saying that is a bad thing or a bash at commercialism or capitalism; but im pretty sure that kid actually changed at least someone's perception of the world that day; which is no easy task sometimes

it is a shame he died, again i hate apple, but I like dedicated people who work hard and always try to achieve something

Birdie, there's a lot of people I work with who would say and bring arguments for the statement that Apple products have made their life a lot easier

I dont argue that the Apple products are bad. In fact their hardware is superb. I argue about that Apple has a nearly perfect public image. But their products are thefts as well (like every product from every company), totally overpriced, capitalism in perfection.
Maybe an Ipad makes the life of some western rich white educated person easier. But what price do others pay for it? I doubt that all the Chinese working in "sweat shops" for them dont have a better life yet.
Apple is not a company for many, its a blind obsession, almost a religion. But all Apple is, is another giant capitalistic octopus. Like Google, Microsoft, Facebook etc.
