But, if they fix most annoying things pointed out by community will be a great game. I didn't feel this way since first days of TF2 :).

I got a few minutes in before they closed it, and was glad to see the lags that plagued Caspian border on friday were resolved.

But tbh need moar maps.

True, but when you're having the beta 3 weeks before launch you're pretty much testing the end product, bar minor fixes.

Now, graphical glitches will be fixed and features such as squads will be added, if not before launch then some time soon after that. The netcode getting fixed, I'm not so sure of.

Sure, this beta was indeed very close to the final product, but that still doesn't mean they'll put in all of the maps, is what Migu, BAM and Balls are saying.

3 weeks before launch most games are in submission and certification, but seeing as this is an EA product, they can normally get through those processes pretty quickly.

I expect a lot of patches after release though.

Number of maps should not really be a concern. Quality of them, maybe. There's not much to judge on this one from a beta though.

Yes, that's what you'd be hoping before but after this beta, that's clearly not gonna happen. I just pre-ordered the game because in the end it does look like awesome fun.

Hopefully it will be well supported after launch.


Also, fun fact: it has taken me almost one hour to be able to pre-order the game. Origin is such a pile of shit I do not have enough energy in me to bash it properly.

The store thinks I'm american but I could not buy it from there since obviously my card would get bounced back. It will of course not let you pick a different store easily, that would be intuitive. I have tried to google every possible thing (not easy to Google when your keywords are Origin and Europe) until I actually found a link to the Indian version of Origin and from there I was able to stumble my way on the European one.

The blog for Battlefield 3 stated they were testing a version of the game that was a month or so old. Why they would do that I have no idea, but it does give hope towards a more polished product on release.

Anyway, I'm glad they re-opened Caspian Border for the final weekend. Gotta love 'em jeeps. :D

Beta was probably a month old because they would have branched the builds off pre-conventions and lol the beta would have been tested somewhat before public view, whilst that testing is going on production would still continue on the main branch.

Thats what I meant. It got boring real fast, want the full game so I get more maps.

Beta was just to test battlelog and server settings

I'm actually curious how many days before launch they'll make the client available for download. My money's on a really small window of 1-2 days.
