Well, i ve got the following problem: when i zoom with awe or scout or something, normally theres the crosshair with a red point in the middle. But, yesterday my whole config crashed nothing s left there, so i wrote it again  , and now when i zoom there s no red point, i cannot aim how i should. got just the lines. Any ideas how i get this point back?  Something with config or what?PS Dont know where i should post it ^^ so... |

But it was there before and i can better aim with it. Its more precisley. I wont cry if i dont get it back, but its nice to see on what u r aiming for^^ |

h4x,I wont cry if i dont get it back, but its nice to see on what u r aiming for^^  Well Sonny, I'd say backup ur maps / sounds and wads in ur cstrike folder (just copy and paste somehwere else) and reinstall steam, after ist reinstalled paste them back so you dont have to download all over again. |

LOL, WTF, ...  After i deinstalled/reinstalled Steam my ping isnt so fucked up anymore ^^ Before i got (mostly) a very bad ping like 90 or so, now i got 30-40. So i wanna thank u for advising me to reinstall: ThX Edit: But on WC3 server i still have a ~90 ping

Hmpf... Are you sure you're playing on "OpenGL" and not "Software" or some other crap? (Options>Video>Renderer) |

2 late, I already reinstalled steam, but it was quiet good so, my ping is better now . Only on Server 4 i m lagging around a bit. Why do i lagg there with 100ms or more, and on other servers i got 30-40ms?

What he had was a custom crosshair sprite... They used to be very common, but got a kind of "unspoken outlaw" against them... I haven't spoke to anyone that uses them for probably 3 or 4 years now! |

It was probably a very old "pack" you tried. It would have replaced the Hostage and all player models, sounds, guns etc. With versions that have different graphics or noises. Don't remember the names of the 2 popular ones, but they were big news in amateur CS competitions 4/5 years ago... |
