Has no REAL life! (3017)
Thought a topic like this would be useful for all the new-comers, where you can ask silly questions about the game.
Thanks to everyone who will contribute!

My questions:
I keep hearing about being able to take dog tags from victims. How do you do that and what can you do with them once you've taken a pair?

Is there any kind of chart or something that would help with picking a weapon? Like recoil, spread, dmg info etc.

You take enemy DogTags with that special knife killing animation. When you are behind an enemy (you have to be behind him) press F and you should kill him instantly and take his DogTags.

You can see all your taken DogTags in the Battlelog on your Statspage.

@Wuffie
Got it, thanks!!
Today I almost got to knife someone..until a team-mate shot mid-way through the animation. Gah..

I am a noob to BF, does this mean i can use whatever DogTags they have. Like, if i kill them when they have Battlefield BC2 veteran dog tags, i can use them?

Sadly enough it doesn't seem to track who you have taken them from, cept the last one.

Well I can't find it anywhere in battlelog, just tells me how many I have taken and who the last person was I took one from.

It makes me kind of sad, as I already have taken the dogtags of Bucky, Saint and Pim.

Can you see sunglare on all scopes, or only the scopes used by snipers.?

Just wondering because as a Support you get a scope that can zoom in quite far and just wondering if people can see it glinting when i have set up to fill em with hot sticky lead. :D

As far as I can tell you can see glares off all balistic scopes, regardless of environmental illumination or class.

Go to customise and you should have some vehicle tabs next to your 'on foot' customisation load out.

Why do I sometimes get "additional points" 200 at the end of a round?

@ Sebas

if you click on your profile name, and then on the soldier picture you have it will take you to loads of stats pages, if you dig deep enough you will find some stats on range, rounds and fire rate etc, not incredibly detailed i must say :<

I've experienced this when I joined right at the ending of the round and did not get the the Ribbon for completing one round, instead just the 200 points. Or when I unlocked something in a round but the unlock did not show in "Ribbon animation" and instead I just got the 200 additional points again.

Nerdish, tbh. (441)
These points are for just playing the game. I didnt even spawn one time i joined, but got thepoints anyway. Would also get the winner ribbon if you were on the winning team. Free XP.

The other day someone wondered if you can kill peolpe with the MAV ( Recon's flying scout drone ).

I just got it and tested it on a 64 player conquest Metro, killing a total of 4 people by flying against them for a roadkill. :ugly:

Learn about dealing damage to tanks:

C4: 50 damage, ignores armor
Javelins: ~35 damage without designation, ignores armor
RPG: ~60 damage with one shot in the rear of the tank!
Handgrenade: 0 damage

Lol, I remember how much grenades used to damage tanks back in BF1942. It was absolutely ridiculous especially on the grenade-heaven Stalingrad map. Jesus Christ.

Javelin is horrible it seems. Too bad they didn't test the topdown fire mode of it, perhaps that redeems it.

How are the MVP ribbons given out? It should be 1-3 at the end of the round, by points, right?
