...or maybe rather "sayonara", because I'm going to Japan  :5:

I'm leaving on Monday and will be there until Christmas, for language study. It's all paid by the Japanese government :ugly:
Sometimes it's a good thing to be a model student 8)

I'll be staying at a language institute at Osaka, but we should get out to a few school trips to Hiroshima, Kyoto and Nagoya.

I'll be around on the forums, but since I'm only taking a netbook with me, I won't be able to play any proper games.

Oh and if you have some requests what I should take a look at/take a picture of, you can post it here. I'll be there for quite long so I should have some time for sightseeing and stuff

No I didn't think you were leaving for good :P

Rent one of those sleep pods for a night, you'll feel right at home if you live in student halls.

Well, I'm sure we'd all love to see some pictures of their educational facilities, park arrangements and library shelves.

Bah, who are we kidding?!

Time for some news!

It's been about 11 days since my arrival and I'm doing great. If only wish the madatory schedule was a bit looser, so I could go out on my own to explore stuff. 8)

Well anyway, we went on a trip to Nagoya (one of the biggest industrial cities) and Hida Takayama (known for its old buildings and stuff) and I posted some pics online
https://picasaweb.google.com/1173071623 ... OHvxIW4-gE

One of the most interesting aspects is watching the TV, because it really is outright WTF inducing at times. I especially liked some show about massaging boobies. The "sensei" was a middle aged woman who was massaging a model in bikini (who tried to cover her boobies with a tiny towel as not to show too much  ) There were about ten other girls standing around and "wow!" and "aah!" sounds. And then the sensei went on to touch the boobs of every girl on stage.
The best of all were the faces of two "anchormen" who were watching this with utmost interest from the other side of studio.
The moment I saw that show I knew what my dreamjob was
Oh and by the way that show wasn't even porn!

That for me is the best part of a good holiday, getting lost and exploring the reality of the place and not just what they want you to see etc. Managed to once get lost from my class on the island of Burano in the Venetian Lagoon - and i fucking loved it, get away from the ignorant english people, and just immerse yourself in the culture!

Enjoy the trip GZeus and let us know when you got another update!! :D

Plus dont forget the extra used panties :3

Post subject:  Re: It's time to say goodbye...

I've seen a lot of things in Japan (and all over the world anyway) but today was unbelievable.

As a part of our course, we went to a local elementary school.

There's 35 of us university students mostly from Asia and East Europe and we were supposed to create some posters showing something about our countries. Then the kids would show us around the school and stuff.

Well that was the plan and I wasn't really expecting much, but when we were approaching to the school, there were about 100 kids (10 years old or so) lined up at the fence and waving at us and they formed a corridor ond were greeting us as we entered the school... Like if we were some movie stars or even astronauts!

Then there was a starting ceremony in the gym, the kids greeted us both in Japanese and Engrish :D
They were divided into groups of about 6 and each group held up small sign with two names - they were responsible for these two foreigners to show them around and deal with them. I found my group quite quickly and the other foreigner was one Vietnamese girl - and we went with the kids into theire classroom.

I showed them my Czech poster and told them some stuff (but they had done some research about our countries in advance, so they knew quite a lot). They also asked us some question they had prepared ("Do Czech people really drink beer that much? Why are walls in Czech houses so thick? :D )

Then they showed us some traditional Japanese games (like Rock paper scissors and some toys) They also prouldy went around the school with us, proudly showing us everything...

Lastly, we all gathered at the gym again and they all played flute for us. Imagine 100 Japanese kids playing some beautiful tune just for you... Some girls were crying, it was really moving... Then they sung a song for us! Again, something so deep... Even my eyes were getting watery.

And this was the end, we had to go - so again, they had formed a corridor and were waving at us and calling out our names and running around the fence to see us...

It really was unbelievable. I almost felt bad, because such amazing atmosphere should be reserved for someone who really deserves it, not just a random guy who happened to be chosen by his uni teacher to go to Japan :|

We were asked not to post any pictures of the kids online (so no one can molest them via the internetz), so you have to do with your imagination. But if you saw any anime from a Japanese school environment - it was exactly like that. Like, totaly the same thing. The corridors, the classrooms, everything.

Sorry for the long post, but it was really an experience that moved me and I wanted to share it with you!

Another funny stuff!

Back in the Czech Republic I made good friends with one Japanese family, who convinently moved back to Osaka a month before I came here. This weekend they were so nice to take me on a trip, which mostly consisted of eating at delicious restaurants :)

Also, we went to a presumably famous onsen. Onsen = japanese public bath. It's very traditional in here, you enter completely naked so the baths are sex separated.
Few years back I went to a few onsen hotels on Hokkaido, which were huge with many pools with different types of water (including chilli water!) and different temperatures. Also of course semi-opendoor baths and also opendoor baths... So really a lot of stuff. These hotels were mostly deserted so it was really relaxing.

On the other hand, this famous onsen was extremely crowded and there were only two teeny pools of water, one of which was brown (because of iron or something). Little space + too much people = everywhere I looked, I saw Japanese wieners. I find it kinda hard to have a good time with dicks flapping all around me
Also funny is how hairless the Japanese are. I felt like a bear! (well ok not really with my physique, but you know what I men).

So if you happen to go to an onsen and don't fancy explicit exposure of genitalia in your face, you'd better choose some less crowded place. :ugly:

I should write some guidebook or something

So if you are tattoed they thought you are a Yakuza :) But they might allow tattoed people nowadays in those baths, especially if the look european. ;)

So we went on another school trip, this time to the world famous Kyoto. If you are into traditional Japanese architecture and gardens, it is a must! 8)

Again, I took some pictures, if you want to have a look. The autumn is really beautiful in here, so be prepared to see some unbelievable colors of the trees :4

Oh and I also ate some wasabi icecream. Well, it was vanilla icecream with some fresh wasabi and wasabi biscuits - and hell, it was extremely spicy. :ugly: It was a rather unique experience, and also the shop owner told us about wasabi (the "hottest" ones are from Tottori prefecture, if you must know  ) . But TBH, I prefer regular ice cream :5:
