Does anyone else feel like cheating when using one? I honestly can not understand why they would actually make them work in daylight time. It's like having a scanner picking out enemies for you.

I tried this today: sniping with the Support starter weapons (which are accurate enough to hit anything at least 200m away) and the infrared scope. It's fun and completely broken.

They are too good and I dont want to see everything in 2 shared of green the whole time, thus I dont use them.

I read that flashlights can blind them. Didnt experience it myself but maybe thats why there are snipers sniping with flashlights on?

IR is easymode spot and kill. I'm using it on some maps, tunnel one and teheran but I avoid on other map because I fell cheap if I do. I see more and more ppl using it on any map, I hope will be nerfded, really brak the game.

Are you sure that light you see from them is not the scope glare? I don't think I've ever seen snipers with flashlights. Though it does actually give some use the attachment if it can blind IFR.

Is the scope glare permanent or just for a short time? I thought it just flashes once.

I think the glare is permanent as long as the sniper is looking directly at you. Not sure though.

It's permanent, over time glare is become bigger if you scope long time. That's why looks like a flashlight :).

Played more with the scopes today, I am literally feeling like I'm aimbotting. The starter Support weapons are so accurate it's ridiculous what you can do with them combined.

Infrared should only be available on binoculars, for the Recon class, for spotting.

I did notice today that one of the flashlight snipers that killed me had no flashlight after all.
So I can use laser/flashlight on my sniper rifles because it glows like shit anyway? :ugly:

the glint is there to counteract snipers just bunkering down in 1 spot and sit there the whole game. If you play Recon don't ffing stare down your scope the whole time, just take quick scanning looks every now and then. I am pretty sure nobody is spotting me because of my scope as I keep my scoped time to a minimum and move around a lot as I actually work with the rest of the squad instead of camping.

that's one hell of a handy overview. I'll make sure I'll get come camo going which shields you the best from those things!

Yup! Combine this with a flashlight pistol and you've got yourself a pretty handy anti-IRNV package.
