Hey can any of you guys help me with a mouse problem im having. I have a g500 and cant seem to bind the side buttons in BF3 or even in TF2. In bf3 it acts as if they dont even exist ! In tf2 it sees one of the side buttons , but as the same as mouse 2. Ive re installed software , all upto date and cant seem to see why this is. Thanks in advance |

Oh and if you can store profiles and other cool stuff why not bind one of the non working buttons to a F* key or any other key which isn't normally used so you can bind that instead. |

Out of game , one button is browser back , and on forward. The other doesnt do anything that i know of. It has profiles but im not sure what they do. I just want to bind it to do something in game. I.e Sprint/Prone, But to no avail ! |

blind guess, but i believe the profiles are application-specific. aka the buttons bind to a different set according to the application that is opened. you might have to make a profile for TF2 and BF3 separately so that whenever you have one or the other open, the profile is activated, automatically adjusting the button binding. There's also an interesting how-to-do by logitech Here. |

When I bought my new mouse my mouse buttons 6 and 7 wouldn't work in TF2 etc, it just wouldn't recognise them. I managed to get them to work by swopping the configuration round in the software that came with it. |

Change the config of the side buttons from "Back/Forward" to "Other => Default" in the SetPoint software. They will still work for back/forward, but are recognized as "Mouse 3,4,5 whatever" in games. ![]() |
