Why is my CPu doing this. i also suspect my GPU does this. it goes upto its normal when it needs to but i want it at stock speeds all the time. Does anyone know how ?

Asrock extreme4 gen3 z68
i7 2600k
8GB Ripjawsx
win 7 ultimate 64

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpeedStep - it's good and you should use it!

only if you OC your cpu (wich would basically be useless right now because an i7 2600k got enough power with the integrated turbo boost) you should disable it via the bios.

Ill take a look , but if its what i think it is , ive already disabled the speedstepping in bios :S
