I'm looking for someone to manage the server until the contract runs out. Then again, I might be able to keep the contract running if you guys still want it.

Any volunteers?

I don't think it is worth continuing to be honest. The SpA player base isn't very big to warrant a server of that size and it's a cost that I don't think can be sustained.

what does it involve?

oh and just read balls post, maybe more ppl will play on a 32 player because they struggle with 64 player servers? BAM is one of them

I think I can manage it as I'm playing mostly BF3 only now. But I need details on what "mange" means :).

The fact that on my com center, the average amount of players on in the evenings is about 4 on a good day. If the game was on steam, im sure that would have been a different story. But I don't really see it as something the community has much interest in, in regards to having a continued need for a personal server. Same situation with black-ops, although that was full all the time, but me and greasy were the only players from spa, and we couldn't even find the server.

We should just cut our losses.

Nevertheless, we still have a contract and I don't have the time to put into managing it. Basically I just need someone to set it up according to the feedback from the community and from your experiences so far and to try and get some players on it to test your decisions etc.

If you think 32 players will suit it better then change it to 32 players.

I will be available to help as much as possible.

Hunth and Bam if you'd both like to manage it and see how it goes then that is cool with me. If you think it is worth continuing with the contract then I can see if it is possible to do so and we'll try and raise more funds. Otherwise we can continue it until the contract runs out which is next year.

Are you able to change the player count? Surely that is why the server is the price it was?

I'm not trying to be negative btw, I just don't want to see people wasting their time.

Whoever manages it can change what they like as they see fit. Afaik, the price is the price no matter what you do with it.

so we would actually be paying for a 64 player server still if we change it to 32.
anyway, i have no issues with the stuff you want, aslong as you dont require me to be here 24/7 ;) bf3 is my game :D

Well it's paid for so it doesn't matter really what you do.

Give me a shout on steam tomorrow Hunth, you too Bam, and we'll sort something out. Like you say, it's been paid for so might as well make the most of it while we can.
