My goal with this is to establish a comprehensive map of Homestead. I will not be mapping Bedlam for reasons that will be known at the end of this. But Dawn! We have Dynmap! Ahh, yes, but the goal of this map is to LABEL landmarks and cities on the map. I want input on certain parts of the map, as I don't know the name of them all. When we're done, we'll have a labeled map of the server! So... why not Bedlam? Because any Bedlam community or Bedlam landmarks would either have been griefed within days, or we would have to label it "Griefed <name of landmark>." Communities that spring up in Bedlam are short-lived. Current matter of business: Getting captures of each continent and labeling landmarks NOTE:The finished product will look (somewhat) pleasing the eye, the current product is just a draft for getting all the info down. ![]() UPDATE HISTORY Date unknown/forgotten: I have decided to name the continents after various players with high standings in the Minecraft SpA community (Howard, Don_Don_Don, etc.) 4 February 2012: Continents and the Ocean have been named. Old map(s) hidden. |

Dynmap has a landmark system. People just need to mark their builds. This sounds like a big waste of time, but your choice. |

Does it, Howard? Interesting. Well, considering no one DOES mark their builds, I guess this isn't a total waste of time? Yeah, I'm sticking with it. EDIT: It seems Spawn is marked. And that's all. Sticking with it. Besides, how are you gonna mark rivers and the like? I also fiddled around to find... there is no visible "mark" button or anything similar. |
