Hey.

Been searching google some after an answer for this but can't find anything answering my question.

Is it possible to control your PC using your TV control on your TV when a HDMI cable is connected between the two?
I have an ASUS EB1501 EEE PC. It has an IR transmitter and it followed an own remote control when i bought it. I've read something about HTPC that both devices has to support this (or Control for HDMI which Sony calls it). I know my Sony Bravia does, but im not sure if EB1501 does. After what i found on google, it does. Is there a program/driver i must install to get it working?

Does someone know how this works?

Do you have an android phone? If so, then have a look at "Unified remote".

i have iPhone and use AirMouse atm to control my pc. just thought it wud be neat with a way to control it with my tv control, like i control my playstation with it and using XBMC to watch stuff. The menus are quite simple in XBMC so i can't see why it shouldnt work.

I'm using a Logitech Harmony remote to control my living room stuff. I've got a dedicated HTPC running Windows + TV + AVR. The HTPC has a remote receiver plugged which is normally used with the MCE remote. This way all my controls are copied by the Harmony. So just one control for everything. :4
