Hello Highlanders, Yeah its been a bit quiet here, just giving you all a chance to really calm down and just relax abit before we jump back into the carnage that is Highlander. You know the drill, sign up here it will be taking part of sunday 15th April 2012 from 7pm GMT 8pm CET. I am hoping the whitelist will be in place for this one, but we shall have to wait and see. Team sorting properly the same way as before, as people sign up i'll sort them into the teams. If people believe them to be inbalanced then we can try and "balance" them but this is really just adding acid to toxic water. Maps wise I am taking suggestions as before. Z.S

[SpA]JuncoPartner wrote: This can only be solved in a 3 way ubersaw deathmatch. i like the way you think really though, it's actually a bit of a tricky one. i know that i'm happy enough to go off-class, but i also know that anna doesn't want to play highlander as anything other than medic (i don't really blame her :p). however, one of the big points of feedback that we got from the last game was that people would prefer it if there was some sort of designated team leader/caller so that the whole thing doesn't end in disarray. i understand that a number of people play highlander without giving two shits about the outcome or whether their team's strategy is anything other than abysmal, but an equal (and vocal) number of people have a much better time if there is actually some degree of teamplay involved; hell, to some it would be a waste of time if it boiled down to a pub game with set teams. seeing as the position of caller/leader traditionally comes down to the medic, and as we've both got background in competitive tf2, i think me and balls, being in opposite teams and in those positions, cover that base pretty well. of course, there are probably other ways to work this out (depending on who else we have signed up), this is simply the most straightforward at the moment. on top of all that, maybe first come first serve really is the fairest way to split it? i'll have to talk about it with zombie, i think that the plan was to manually divvy up players to try and get the balancing act right, so this might just fall under that category anyway. basically, just saying that it's not as straightforward as it looks.

The highlander games quickly become unpleasant when one team is organised and the other isn't, we play for fun and we don't take the outcome of the games but even when you do 5 aside football in the park with mates, you still retain some organisation and rules, otherwise it is equally not fun imo. The medic in highlander is the most important class and as soon as they go down the whole team will get pushed back potentially and they need to keep track of 8 people all the time, on top of needing an overview of the battle and enemy team. Completely agree with what you said Scatter.

Hey Zombie it took a bit, but finally.. here is my signup for sunday (Medic , Soldier, Heavy or something u want me to be ) I tried to get some GGC-Players up for that one.. but dont know yet @ Scatter: .. also no chance to get the entire team up on sunday.. sry! my proposal would be, we try to get the match SPA vs. GGC in 2 weeks, on 29th April 2012 (but nothing fixed yet, just a thought) .. and for all ppl interessted in Calling-Action in TF2..
