To use the pack one should do a clean install of Minecraft, download Magic Launcher http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/939 ... ions-news/ and use it to install OptiFine http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249 ... much-more/ (I use OptiFine HD C3 Smooth for Minecraft 1.2.4 and 1.2.5). Magic Launcher is to be used as the launcher to run Minecraft, and in comparison to the vanilla client it gives hell of a lot more space for game customization, e.g. reduced/removed rain and snow, fog, clear water, etc. :L
