Right I'm gonna write a guide for installing Steamless and CS 1.5 EE along with 1.6 and 1.3. This is my first guide so please be patient with whats in here right here we go:

Half Life
First off you need an copy of the orginal Half Life CD or if you've lost it you need to download it again either here http://depositfiles.com/en/files/590569 or if that links dead then dl it from a torrent after u dl'd install it put in any serial as long as its a valid HL key i dont mean a steam cd key just any old serial from a keygen.

The Half Life Patches
Now you need to install the HL 1.1.1.0 Patch

After downloading install that patch theres another one the Steamless 1.1.1.1 HL patch which you can download here: http://files.filefront.com/3864084

Now your half life is setup to use won2 now you need Counter strike

Counter Strike 1.5 Extreme Edition
Now for CS 1.5 EE edition
you will need to download vanilla counter strike 1.5 which you can download here: http://gamefiles.virginmedia.com/blueyo ... 15full.exe
once downloaded install

Now for the extreme edition (dont worry your almost done)
you will need to download it here:

after youve downloaded it install it then your done thats it go and play with fun

right, i've just done all that and i'm not on 1.6, and i don't see any version of 1.6 anywhere, so i must be on 1.5. How do i get to 1.6 from here?

EDIT: infact, even in 1.5, it won't let me connect to any online servers..

FURTHER EDIT: Half Life will not update to 1.1.1.1, it just stays at 1.1.1.0, no matter what i do. the autoupdater doesn't work either.
