While out at i46 the barely born, youthful whipper-snapper [SpA]Scatterbrain attempted to make us feel old with a declaration of the years passed since the release of a certain album this got me thinking about what I know to have been released in the year that I was born. I'll start with these 8. Some how this song didn't cross my mind but seems fitting Great song and that costume helped me through my teens Birth of major label Rap Because we discussed it this weekend and it didn't make me feel old till I found out it was as old as me. This or whip it, its a girl with a whip I want. This didn't make me feel old when it came up either but its still on regular in my playlists, this version too not the re-recorded version from "give me convenience and a few cheap bucks" Just fuck yeah. How appropriate, then again I lived and holiday'd in Cambodia too. That really made me feel old. I'm going to keep adding to this feel free to add songs from your own birth year. Also feel free to guess the year try not to look it up though.. spoils the (very limited) fun.

this was a helluva a year for music - i probably haven't got half of it. but whatever, enjoy! easily one of my most listened-to albums i still don't get Pablo Honey. ah well, it's Radiohead so it's gotta go in here on the other hand, this is probably the only U2 album that i still listen to (the occasional live album spin aside) another thing we talked about at lan not what i usually listen to, but Tool became a thing this year, so in it goes kind of a big deal we talked about this guy too! i'll remember them mostly for The Beautiful Ones, which was three years later, but this was the one that won the Mercury prize is it bad that i only know this from Guitar Hero? obligatory ssnoooooo-oop! MEANWHILE, IN THE 90'S ...AND I SAY gonna have to stop here, but that was fun edit: i think i broke the rules by having to look most of these up? all of them were guesses in the general ballpark though. whatever
