Well, my birthday is coming up, and like every year my parents have not a clue what games are out etc/etc so they just ask me what I want. Usually I have an answer, but I can't think of anything I really want that is out already.

So, do you have any suggestions for a game that is out already or that is coming out before my birthday(the 16th). I'm looking more for a game for the PS3, but a PC game is not out of the question.

You need to be more specific about what kind of games do you like?

Multiplayer ones like Call of Duty or games that are just single player.
What genre of the game?
Etc..

We could mentions tons of games but we don't know what you're into.

I like shooters like CoD and BF, but it needs to have a good campaign and multiplayer
Like I said, needs to be out before my work birthday(16th). I do like mind puzzles such as portal, but I doubt anything can compare to it atm.

For future reference I have already pre-ordered BO2 so if anyone is getting it on the PS3, see you then.

Also, long quest games and mmo's bore the shit out of me, there must be something happening and not roaming half the game.

That's for all suggestions, I shall look at them all.

some of the games i am playing at the minute are planetside 2 beta (but you can pre order it and get some stuff and access to the beta) - kicks the arse off the battlefield series! (need more people i know in the game too)

i am waiting for FTL - which looks like it may be amazing! should be out on the 14th

other things you might like would be - a raspberry pi (good project and play stuff), some good books like peter f Hamiltons nights dawn trilogy or alastair Reynolds - revelation space.

anything tickle your fancy?

Planetside 2, I will continue to keep my eye on, but I can never see myself buying items ingame, if it's free to play, I'll play with you then :P

The FTL, seems, well, not interesting to me. Atleast, the trailer did, I'll look into it more, but its currently a no.

Books, no :P Not a big reader :P

Raspberry Pi, that's an interesting one, if I don't find a game, I might get that to tinker with, nice find :P

mm I'd recommend this, there is a fair bit of patforming and the dexterity required so it can be tricky, but it's a great looking game, funny and a good mental challenge.

Walking Dead? Based on the comics, it's mostly about finding things, making decision, solving problems, and picking your words right in conversations. Only completed one episode of it so far, but it's pretty good.

Total War Shogun 2? It's just really good, that's all I can say.

I'm that very silent robot potato voice you can hear in the background. Allas, thanks to this 1 volt potato battery my voice is being powered from I can't quite speak very loud :(

I can hear you just fine! You should become a soloist.

Also, my suggestions:

Borderlands 2
Guild Wars 2
An enormous sound system
As for PS3/PC games out I can't really say much as I don't follow everything too much anymore, honestly you should try League of Legends if you havent already.
