We're currently enduring an extremely large DDoS attack at our servers.

It's been a while, but apparently we pissed off some script kiddy again.

Fucking wankers.

No telling when our services become stable again, up to the lowlife loser who performs these attacks.

Leaseweb has "nullrouted" MrBlonde's IP address for the moment at the edge of the network. This prevents the data from coming in, however, it also prevents our server from being reachable.

By default, yes. You can't do much against DDoS attacks accept for waiting them out.

Well, I hope this doesn't happen anymore, but as long as we're running servers, we can count on having this done to us... I noticed this on the graphs earlier and I was all like "Woah, either we got a lot of members at the same time or something went all derp..." But I just don't understand why people do this... :/

Also, is this why SpA.net went down earlier?

Indeed. Sometimes we get those kids who say "i so gonna crash ur srvr, i fkn hate it!!!1", but Howard keeps replying that they are nowhere near the skill level to actually crash or DDoS a server. I'm surprised they can even log in to Minecraft in the first place...
