Hey there,
Trying to get into dubstep..I like anything with lOts of bass, any suggestions?

okay, first off:

Skrillex/Skism/DatsiK/Exicision isn't dubstep, it's post-dubstep, so it's more focused on midrange sound with more aggressive tendencies. Original dubstep is stuff like Skream, Benga, Hatcha, Lost, Digital Mystikz, Rusko (well rusko has a bit of both really) and Mala. It originally started off from a jamaican form of music called dub, which is kind of Reggae's cousin.

If you're into both I'd highly recommend 100% Pure Dubstep (both albums) from DJ Hatcha, as well as the Ministry of Sound - The Sound of Dubstep (1-4, and Darker) and if you're into older more chilled stuff take a look at things like the two Babylon volumes from Rusko, the Skreamizm EP's (1-6), anything by Digital Mystikz, the Box of Dub series, etc.

if you're specifically looking for post-dubstep (Brostep), the Borgore Ruined Dubstep albums are a good place to start, then go onto releases from people like datsik, excision, skism, skrillex, mark instinct, bare, liquid stranger, vaski. Bar 9 is probably the best one to give you an introduction to pretty filthy sound, after that Borgore is your best bet. If you want more dance-esque and hybrid styles, give Flux Pavilion/Doctor P/Roksonix (basically anyone from Circus Records) and their newer stuff a try. Friction, Example, FuntCase and Evol Intent are also worth a look.

If you'd elaborate more on what you're looking for I could give you a list of albums too ^^

Edit: oh and rusko's O.M.G., and Songs albums are definitely worth a look-see.

I try most of that^. Bar 9 was good, flux is nice...but is there anything with just a beat and heavy bass? The club mixes were nice, I really like slay it by cryptex..thanks for all the input too!

I don't like pure dubstep, and I hate that waaabbbbbbbbbb shit, I just like a nice beat and heavy bass, I usually listen to songs that've been dubstepped like this:

You're looking at hybrids and remixes.

Check out the 100% Pure Dubstep album series from DJ hatcha, and keep an eye out for releases from Nero, Example, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Friction, Dream and a lot of the up-and-coming new faces.

I'm assuming this is the sort of thing you're looking for?
