Post subject:  Plugin Ideas
Look I'm getting off my ass here. :) I was looking at some plugins that could possible help people in the sense of money collecting on the server or for helping people out in the server.. I'm not saying we need to have them but I'm giving ideas here, as people seem to lack doing that these days.

http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/goldpanning/ - Allows users to pan for gold in a stream making it so you can collect gold and such, (I don't think this one will work with Towny as you would need to claim the area first.. but I'm no expert on that)

http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mobhealth/ - Allows users to see how much damage they did to a mob and how much health they have, instead of just wacking the damn pig till it dies.


http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/infected-core/ - maybe a new game mode that we can add to the arena?


http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/usefulvillagers/ - Make the villages that we have currently better?


http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/heroes-skill-tree/ - Kinda like Mcmmo? Not sure what can be done with this one.


Please Don't yell at me telling me that this was a waste of time and that we don't need more plugins for Smp, I'm just trying to find things that will bring us some more players. :(

Contrary to popular belief, I never yell at people who are trying to make actual contributions to the server

What does this add to the server? Isn't gold still, basically, worthless? What would everyone do with the gold they collect?

Yeah I saw this previously. need to check what its dependencies are but its not a bad idea.

Well, we need the arena up and working in a realistic and functioning state first but fair enough

As far as I can see this would replace mcMMO and also requires Heroes - is this actually wanted?

I find Mcmmo a very useful and fun plugin. Just training skills and trying to get #1 is what makes me want to play SpA's smp server even more.(Not like I play anywhere else)

Mcmmo is designed really well and I think it's better than the heroes skill tree thing.

So in my opinion I think we should keep mcmmo.

However nevertheless it's still a good second runner up if anything ever happens to mcMmo next update.

I like gold... Hyrrhyrr... Obviously gold can be crafted into armour and weapons, they're great for training the Repair skill, and gold blocks can be used in building as well - not to mention the 300 coins Laputa is willing to pay per ingot. According to the plugin info it sometimes poops up a diamond as well. If the plugin works and some people are willing to use up their precious time panning gold, I don't see what the downside of it all would be. One of those funny little seemingly worthless things that add up to the bigger picture. That's how the bigger picture is formed, is it not?

Ships - not to my liking. I'd rather have aeroplanes, and that's just a waste of time as well. This isn't Tekkit. This is Minecraft.

Smart ones yes, but that would mean approximately one or two Guests per week.

Maybe as a donator perk but not for every player. It's actually very powerful

Pretty sure this is where you vote for your server on mcstats.com (Kind of like the Freebuild server list) The more votes you get for your server, the higher it climbs up on the list.

I think for every vote you receive a diamond or something like that.

Not completely sure since they didn't explain it at all on the page.

It most likely will be brought back once suitable "rewards" are found. So far it's a race to the death. And yes, I don't see why others couldn't suggest plugins and/or ideas for one.

Howard said he was going to make gaining money hard since it was already too easy, but here it is anyways:

XP goes beyond 10. I considered this but it is now so easy to get XP I didn't bother. 7 -20 minutes in a cave and you can get 30 levels of XP just killing mobs.
