Post subject:  FreeBuild Maps
Since the recent closure of FB, we are going to start releasing maps upon request. We ask that you keep these maps to yourself and do not further distribute them.

I would prefer that you only request personal maps. But, if you had a large part in building a certain standard map(veteran10 or whatever) I will think about sorting threw them all(Better want it for a damn good reason :P). The reason behind this is that all the maps, after server changes, reset their numbers, so there are at least 3 different veteran10s, etc. Also, that others work is on there.

Your map(s) will be sent to you via private message.

Thanks everyone for playing FB throughout the years and making it a great place to be at!

If I can get Halexboom8, models (someone on there that I need to remember, has been bothering me for ages), and sorryboardgame (WORKED ON THIS FOR AGES)

Those maps would make me super dee duper happy. ^_^

Its either called Jonesy or OldJonesy, medieval2(I think) and that should be it. Maybe models? but that'd only be for my skin statue if its still around.

veteran5 from MCForge, I had a large build on there and my girlfriend wants to see the dalek and TARDIS that was built on there. I had finished the build on a newer map, but I forgot what the number it was on. If I could find the video I had... Maybe a screenshot...

I built every block of this by hand, without commands, would be nice to have it. Don't absolutely need it though.
It also has a QR code I built to the website on it that would be cool to put up in random places :3

If anyone is looking for something pre split, fragmar made a thing that shows all the maps pictures and names, from that time.

I started building a football stadium once , i think the map is called fc_groningen or something with groningen in it, it would be great to have it if it still exist.

zfc_groningen to be precise, FINISH IT PL0X.

Also I request the newer mcf/fcraft vet10 till 20. My Palace on the Dam is in it and I don't wanna lose my masterpiece.

Alright so, there is one issue. We can hand out the maps, but they are fcm format. Thus you need to (afaik):

1) Download the fcraft server
2) Configure your router settings to allow port forwarding
3) Load in the map and configure it. Remember that Java7 tends to have problems if the spawn is in the air
4) Join with WOM. This will take the most time. Java 7 tends to have a massive problem with the old MC and spawning in. It can take many trys to work
5) Dump the map with WOM
6) Load into McEdit
7) Save as a 1.3 anvil format and hope that it works

Now, this is the only real solution that I found. However if someone finds a conversion utility, please do share

Launch the server for one day. Make sure everyone (including supops) knows. Anyone durring that day can request a map to be loaded. Then the person can dump their maps with wom.

Aye, however that then needs a windows computer. Also I would not be happy with leaving the server there for people to load and download maps as they please. Essentially this is for people to get a copy of a few maps they worked on, not everything they ever did. For this to work we would require trusted users (supop+) on all day so that THEY can manage the handing out of maps. Judging by the way FB died, I doubt this would actually happen and it will most likely turn into everyone pinging me so that they can get their maps.

Canada, addressing your request for the mains, from what I can see, we didn't keep them.

I had a hunch that all the mains archives pre-split were gone, since they were never available in the archives back when the server was up. Thanks anyways.
