Got a message from Sam (events guy over at HH) asking if anyone here would be interested in playing. They're a good bunch, let's support them kick their asses :mrgreen:

The 4v4 meta is pretty wild. Typically you'll have a medic and a sticky-launcher demoman (but not necessarily always - swapping out your med for a 4th damage class is kinda viable) and the other 2 spots are flexible with people offclassing as the situation calls for it. Spy is pretty bad; heavy is unpopular as you're not allowed to have a medic and a heavy at the same time; minisentries are banned so engineer is very situational; soldier/scout/sniper/pyro are fair game, depends on the map and your strategy.

Whitelist be here.

I'm in, probably as demo but I can do most things. I bagsy Pinky if he's playing :ugly:

Should be able to get mutiple teams for this. Will probably pyro, but no doubt there will be class shuffling when the situation calls for it.

I'm slightly interested, is this a LAN event? Assuming it's not I would probably be a sub, playing as Medic. I could probably play other classes but I seem to live the longest as medic and I'm most useful using that class. Sub is mostly because of where I live and the crappy internet I have at the moment with no sign of upgrade anytime soon, but in the category of medic I don't think I would be in any worse position as Annarack was on Monday. :lol:

It's all online, European servers though which won't help your ping problem. But yes, stable lag is better than random complete drops :ugly:

We scrimmed them once on a map we're not playing on Tuesday and we lost. Honestly they've probably got better natural DM etc than we do but they're ultimately a "turn-up-and-play" team: I think we've scrimmed more, prepared as a team more and the maps are more in our favour/preference. It'll be close and hopefully a game worth watching!

What I'm saying is yes of course we'll win please put your entire life savings on Pinky and Junco not running away from our medic and me not being sick for once :ugly:

The other semi-final is tonight, streaming here at 20:30 cest. Bets are here. We've played both of these teams and I think they're extremely close in terms of skill level, I put some hats on All Out of Gum but only because the return is slightly better. It'll be a good game :mrgreen:
