My suggestion is to consider removing this map from the rotation. It could be replaced with a custom map (Labor would be my personal suggestion, since it easily wipes the floor with valve's 5 cp maps and used to be popular when it was still in the regular rotation), or not be replaced with anything at all depending on what people would prefer.

I know I'm not the only one who dislikes this map, since whenever it comes on it seems to kill the server. It's near impossible to get a proper game of ctf on the map since people prefer to farm kills to pass the time. The majority of people who like the map are snipers, and nobody likes snipers.

But in all seriousness, the map has the lowest replay value out of the bunch, and community players tend to leave during 2fort.

you are completely right, akar.
we recently reduced the timelimit on 2fort, because many people don't like it. but still, there are a few who like it.

the problem with labor in the rotation was, that the server would always run empty when there where too few regular players that know and enjoy the map.

Aye,

Thats basicly the mayor problem around here ;)

I have no issues retrieving the intel from the enemy base on a full servers, it just requires more tactics then regulair cp maps.

Also if we'd remove it, there would be no decent CTF map on the servers, which is a shame, because i think its a real cool gameplay.

At the other hand, because we relised not too many people like the map, we've today brought down the timelimit to 20 minutes (instead of 30 before).

20 minutes makes it a lot more bearable I guess :P.

There's nothing wrong with ctf itself (I was actually suprised there was only one ctf map when I bought the game), the map itself is just pretty dull. And it's probably unlikely that there's a good custom ctf map to replace it with.

Either way, the timer is a big improvement :P.

Labor is the greatest map so far, anyhow at least better than 2fort. I was shocked when it got removed. Thanks for the spapoints, we can play it again. I'll hope that server won't run empty next time when I set labor to next map :?

I fully agree with saintk! 2fort is an awesome map..it would be unfair to put 2fort out, as long as hydro is in the rotation....can't we fucking skip that map? it's the most annoying map I have ever played in tf2.....rly it's a shame that valve put so much effort in that crappy map...

Lower timelimit seems like a good solution - I don't really hate 2fort, but I get bored really quick with it whether I go defence or offence. It's probably much more fun with some teamwork...but vodka helps, too.

I usually don't have that big a problem playing 2fort, however alot of people leave while we play it, which severely reduce the fun I have on the map. So even though I love the map, I too would like to see it replaced with labor or convoy!
