If a game can run some of it's resources on one core, and others on another, it will run more than 2.4 Ghz total :|

Bad experience with it. And it's too expensive for what it offers. For that money you can get nice X48 MB from Gigabyte which isn't worse than the Maximus Formula :) I don't say that MF is a really bad MB, it's just overrated and overpriced :)

the board pimps dude, it offers a lot of features and a lot of possibilities.
Next to that, you should never be satisfied with those onboard crap soundcards, certainly if you have a good headset or speakerset.

I'm seriously impressed by the quality of the ALC889a - I've had other onboard soundchips before, but they were always crappy (so I had to use another soundcard), but this one is really good.

you should hook some good hardware to it, you'll hear the difference. Or you just don't care that much for high sound quality.
Onboard sound is just crap :P
