Post subject:  The big update - what do you think of it?
All of you should know that the goldrush-map,new achievements and new weapons will be implemented in the game, "soon".
I know a lot of ppl that don't like the idea of new weapons...they think that it will ruin the whole balancing.
On the other hand, there are a lot of ppl that are rly keen on that new stuff.
So what is ur opinion to all of that?

I there is one thing Valve has been very focused on, during the development of the update, it is to keep the balance of the game.

The new weapons will not be any better than the current one, they will just add another level to the diversity you can play with.

spike is totally right...they balance the new weapons since months...im sure they will not ruin the balance...i'm curious about the new stuff &nd look forward to it... :mrgreen:

I agree with spike too.
Only one thing troubles me: Now most of the times when you play on a server very few ppl want to play medic. When the update comes out i think we will see more than half of each team play medic :|

.... what balance? I just played a game where I had 20 kills and 27 deaths.. I swapped to soldier and at the end of the round I had 33 deaths and 39 kills.

I'm sorry but in my opinion the soldier and the demoman are just unbalanced. They tried to reduce their power by reducing the ammo available to them, but its so easy to get new ammo.. it just hasn't worked.

Crovax20, it's just easier to play with the Soldier... it has always been, ever since there is TF :)

Soldier is easy-mode indeed. I wonder what his "new" weapon will be... it will probably be just as easy-mode as the rocket launcher

I don't think that there will be any NEW weapons. I think they will be just the old weapons, with other functions. A rocket launcher with faster rockets, but less dmg would make sense. or automatic shotgun with less dmg.

or there could be a flamethrower working in the water but not out of water :D and what will sniper have? shotgun with a scope? :lol:

I wonder what weapons will they come up with... i don´t know how they could change such "ordinary" weapons as those mentioned

Heavy could have something like über-charge, except that it would cause the minigun to shoot rockets at the rate of normal bullets for a few seconds :)) that would be crazy... he would have to die at the process... Kamikaze could get into the game! Demoman would place his stickies on friendly spy, he would go invisible or disguise and come to enemy sentries... and KABOOM! now THAT would be fun :lol:

Heavy could get some sort of 15 pack mini rocket launcher, with very high damage but long reload time to reload it all.
