What about includig a calendar in the forum.
I´ve seen it in many forums, always there were we´ve got
FAQ, Search, Banlist, Members and User Control Panel.
So we can see when is everybody bday :D and
we can add events like the next [SpA] vs Community match
or others like next [SpA] Members announciation....

We kinda allready have one on the steamcommunity ( http://steamcommunity.com/groups/specialattack/events )

But it still would be nice to have one on the forums. :)

but do we need one atm?

The refusal for speaking english was only an excuse to ban them. The real reason they got banned was for being fanboys!
